To become a teacher in India, it is very important for candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed). One can also pursue a master’s degree in the same (M.Ed) to add to their qualification and to increase one’s employability.

Basically, there are three levels of a teaching degree in the education sector and they are as follows

Diploma

Bachelors

Masters

You can choose b.ed after completing your graduation in any field.

After graduation b.ed duration is 2 years.

After post graduation b.ed duration is 1 year

If you choose B.ed after completing your Post Graduation you can become a pgt teacher. Post graduate teacher you can teach 11th or 12th students.

A commerce graduate can become a accountant teacher or economics teacher of 11th or 12th after b.ed and post graduate degree and some work experience.

You can choose m.ed after b.ed if you want to study more in this field.

If you want to teach 6 to 10 class you should choose 2 year b.ed.

If you want to become a 11th and 12th class teacher you should choose 1 year b.ed course after the post graduation.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (Delhi), Indian Institute Of Health Education and Research (Bihar), Kurukshetra University (Kurukshetra), Banaras Hindu University (Uttar Pradesh) , Gujarat University.

order to become a Government Teacher, candidate should have the acquired the minimum educational qualification required for the level they intend to Teach.

TET, CTET, SLET, NET, CSIR NET, SET, PRT, PGT, TGT, CSIR – UGC Test.
